Expertise of the participating organization:

The Aarhus group members have for many years been involved in research into neurodegenerative diseases and movement disorders. The "Neuro-center" of Aarhus, apart from clinical neurology includes, departments of neurosurgery (center of STN-deep brain stimulation), neuropathology, neuroradiology,(MRI-Centres), neurophysiology and a PET-center directed by Professor Albert Gjedde.Since 1980 Prof. Dr. Erik Dupont MD has been responsible for the Parkinson's disease clinic and other movement disorders at The Dept. of Neurology, Aarhus University Hospital and has participated in numerous international drug trials in PD.
